Continuing the work of Jesus
Peacefully, Simply, Together
We seek to follow the teachings of Jesus to be in relationship with God and our diverse neighbors and to become better stewards of God's creation through simple living and pursuing peace and justice.
What to Expect
We are a small local community with a global bent. Our congregation includes teenagers and octogenarians; students, teachers, craftspeople, retirees and artists; and folks born on five different continents. We love meeting new people!
We share our space with Emmanuel Antioch Presbyterian Korean Church, a Chinese Language School, occasional ESL classes for recent immigrants, and a regular Alcoholics Anonymous meeting.
Worship is informal. Our pastor leads worship, and many of the elements involve conversation with the whole congregation. Whether you’re in your Sunday best or your summer shorts and sandals, you’ll fit right in. We have nursery space for small children if needed, but we really delight in having kids in worship with us - there’s even a kids’ corner in the sanctuary filled with coloring books and activities.
Join us! Sunday School begins at 10 a.m. (September through May), and worship begins at 11 a.m. We share a potluck meal after worship service the third Sunday of every month.
How to Find Us
The church is located in southwest Durham just off I-40 at Exit 276 (Fayetteville Road). Google maps is not always accurate: at the intersection of NC 54 and Fayetteville Rd, turn toward the Waffle House. Pass under the I-40 overpass, and we’ll be on your left.
On the third Sunday of every month!
(Our potlucks are phenomenal. Really, if you’re thinking of visiting, the 3rd Sunday of the month would be a great time!)
